    Cometose 900G

An important discovery was Cometose, a vegetable-based biological product that controls fluid excreta whatever the cause. It creates in the intestine a kind of jelly (already visible when the product is diluted with a drop of water). A number of factors such as stress, secretion of pathogens and too strong a nutrition (the pigeon in nature must really seek and work for its food, we provide it on a plate) cause an increased production of inferior mucus (s. worms). The loops of the intestine silt up and a large part of the intestinal surface, which in the end constitutes the exchange area of the food and the system, is lost.

This reduction of useful intestinal surface can amount to 60%. Cometose can resolve this important problem. It contains vegetable fibres that clean the intestinal surface in a "scraping" way. By thickening the fluid excreta through the jelly formation, the water is also kept better inside. The present electrolytes pump this water back into the blood. I give it to the young pigeons during their weaning period and this for one week.

You may not forget that each cure with medicines threatens part of the flora. Besides, in case of fluid excreta, the intestinal content of the higher intestinal regions is lost and not replaced. That is why I give Cometose with each onset of fluid excreta and also before and after a race.

I let it stick to the food with Fine-Oil. This evacuates all pathogens carried along. The liquid, much needed during the race, remains fixed (that is why I give it before the pigeons are put into baskets).

Use: 1 soupspoon (= 15g) per kg of food.
